Make-Ahead Meals for Busy Moms
By Jane Doiron

Are you tired of eating out at all those fast food joints? Well, Jane Doiron, wants to help you learn how to have home cooked meals that are better for our families, without all that stress and fuss.

As soon as I received, Make-Ahead Meals for Busy Moms, I flipped through the cookbook and found a wonderful and easy-to-prepare recipe using blueberries. We have a blueberry bush in our backyard and I froze 2 quarts this summer. I couldn’t wait to test a dessert recipe listed on page 59 for Blueberry Squares.

From Recipes

My thirteen year old daughter, Tara, helped me get everything together. She even helped with the baking. Since the blueberries were frozen, Jane recommended waiting thirty minutes for them to thaw, that gave us ample time to get everything together and ready for this review. I took pictures to document the recipe. I hope you enjoy them.

Speaking of pictures, you won’t find any inside Jane’s new cookbook, but that doesn’t take away the beauty of her cookbook. I think it is a plus that the text is large enough that I did not need to wear my reading glasses. You will find “help tips” in the front of her book. There are tips on labeling, freezing, preparing food a day ahead and much more. Many of her tips were very helpful.

If you would like to learn more about Jane’s new cookbook, visit her blog or the cookbook website today. She has the table of contents and many pictures of the wonderful dishes from her book on her site. I almost forgot to mention that you can now download it on e-book for $12.95.

Guess what? Jane has generously offered to give one fortunate reader at Loving Heart Designs their own copy of “Make-Ahead Meals for Busy Moms”. If you are a busy dad, you can sign up too.

Congratulations to our winner: #49 Booklogged of A Reader's Journal

  38. Nice review. And the blueberry squares look great -- I'll have to try them. I would have liked some pictures in the cookbook, but the recipes did seem straightforward.
